Great new names in the lineup: Blaiz Fayah, Marcus Gad, Charlie P, Ras Zacharri or The Beatles Dub Club
Among the newly announced are some great new foreign names. An unforgettable show will be performed by the current European leader of the Dancehall scene, the Frenchman Blaiz Fayah and the famous reggae singer from the remote Pacific island of New Caledonia, Marcus Gad with his band Tribe. Jamaica will also be represented by Rasta singer Ras Zacharri and charismatic singer Eesah. Charlie P, a singer with an unmistakable voice and varied musical production, is coming to Slovakia from Britain, who is one of the most sought-after MCs on the sound system scene. The islanders will also release the unique project The Beatles Dub Club at Uprising, thanks to which lovers of the legendary band The Beatles will be able to listen to their immortal hits in reggae, dnb, or dub versions.
These new names will complement the already rich program of the Uprising festival, which will be held on August 30 and 31 at Zlaté Piesky in Bratislava.
The headliners of the Uprising festival will be one of the best contemporary reggae artists, Alborosie, the biggest contemporary Hungarian star Azahriah, the energetic Balkan hit Dubioza Kolektiv, the leading representatives of the drum and bass scene Sigma and Black Sun Empire, the viral phenomenon Venjent, Jamaican reggae icons The Congos and Jesse Royal, or the cult electro-world music group Transglobal Underground with original singer Natacha Atlas.
